By accessing or using ThodaLocal — including our website at thodalocal.in, any associated mobile applications, or any services provided by ThodaLocal — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. ThodaLocal is operated by RYC Corporation, based in India.
2. Who Can Use ThodaLocal
You may use ThodaLocal if you are:
- At least 18 years of age, or using the platform under parental supervision
- Capable of forming a legally binding agreement under applicable Indian law
- Not previously banned or removed from ThodaLocal for violations
ThodaLocal reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason — particularly in cases of fraud, abuse, or policy violations.
3. Store Owner Responsibilities
If you register as a store owner on ThodaLocal, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information about your store, products, and pricing
- Maintain the hygiene standards required to hold and renew your ThodaLocal Hygiene Badge
- Allow ThodaLocal agents to conduct physical hygiene inspections
- Operate the head-mounted camera system as required during active orders
- Treat customers, delivery partners, and ThodaLocal staff with respect at all times
- Not engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading practices
Failure to comply may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform with no recourse.
4. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer using ThodaLocal, you agree to:
- Provide accurate delivery information for each order
- Treat store owners and delivery partners with respect
- Not place fraudulent or fake orders
- Not attempt to manipulate ratings, reviews, or the hygiene verification process
- Pay for orders placed on the platform in full and on time
5. Hygiene Verification System
ThodaLocal's Hygiene Badge is awarded based on a physical inspection conducted by ThodaLocal representatives. The badge is:
- Non-transferable between stores or owners
- Subject to renewal every 3 months via re-inspection
- Revocable at any time if hygiene standards are found to have dropped
ThodaLocal does not guarantee that all listed stores will always maintain the same standards. We are committed to rapid action upon receiving valid complaints.
6. Zero Tolerance Policy
ThodaLocal operates a strict Zero Tolerance Policy against:
- Fraud, scams, or deceptive behaviour of any kind
- Rude, abusive, or threatening behaviour toward any user or staff
- Manipulation of the hygiene verification or review systems
- Any illegal activity conducted through or facilitated by the platform
Violations result in a permanent ban — no exceptions, no appeals. This applies equally to customers, store owners, and delivery partners.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on ThodaLocal — including the name, logo, design, code, and written content — is the intellectual property of RYC Corporation. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of ThodaLocal without explicit written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
ThodaLocal is a platform connecting customers and local stores. While we verify hygiene and moderate behaviour, we are not directly responsible for:
- Product quality beyond what our hygiene verification covers
- Delays caused by third-party circumstances outside our control
- Losses arising from use of information provided by stores
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted under applicable Indian law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gurugram, Haryana.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ThodaLocal after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
